The debut album from Cancer Bats is one that really seems to rock out hard. The four songs have a mix of both punk and metal into these songs but also with a dirty grunge sort of style that just make this meld work. When you listen to this album it has a great sound, but the vocals could have been put more to the front here. Ont the music side, it sounds really decent and the guitars have been recorded well and the lyrics are good. If you want a song to listen to, give "Shillelagh" your attention because it has a really rocking sound and the song just has that hit quality to it, plus the guitar work is really decent here. Cancer Bats just have a style and sound that is poised for success here. This album gives them a very solid foundation to try and push this further.
