Cheap Date's album "Tiny Voices" is 4 tracks of new pop punk music that just seem to have something different about them. Looking at the songs, two of them are reworked from demos, one is a single they released on its own and one is a totally brand new song. The two reworked songs are done not for the better, they actually have stripped down the songs and taken away the fullness they previously had as well as making them easier to play. When you look at how the album was recorded, it was done decently, but the album is still lacking a bit of fullness and richness. When you look at the instrumentation, its alright, nothing to blow you away but not bad and the vocals are pretty solid, the singer can sing. If you are looking for a single, listen to "Later Days" it is clearly the best song on the album and it has a summery feel to it. Our suggestion is the to listen to download the other versions of the first two songs and listen to those, we like them better. Cheap Date is doing an alright job here, maybe with a few tweaks and a bit more guitar work to the songs and they could really big their sound up. Overall a good job for the band. Listen to this album and make your own mind up about this album.
