Controller.Controller have released their second album titled "X-Amounts." This albums continues on with the sound and style that they created on their debut EP. They have a dance and indie feel to them and it is something not really mixed much so it makes them unique. They have a similar sound to that of Metric or even a Death Cab For Cutie, so if you like those bands, you could like this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded fairly well while still keeping that raw feel to it. The instrumentation on the album is done fairly well but the skill is not going to blow you away. Now onto the vocals and the lyrics, the singer has a bit of a unique voice and she sings in a bit of a talk sing style. She is very clear and you can tell just what she is saying. With the lyrics, they seem to have a bit of a different way of telling their story though the lyrics. You have to somewhat put the pieces together to figure out what the song is about, they are more abstract lyrics here. Not bad though. If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "PF" your attention as it is the best song on the album and shows off the albums style the best. Controller.Controller have made a full length that really is different and should hit with those indie fans that like abstract and going to art shows. Overall, not too bad, good job on the album. Listen to the album to decide for yourself what you think of it. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
